Safety First provides CPR training in Jacksonville, FL and the surrounding areas. CPR certification is awarded when the CPR class is successfully finished. Sudden cardiac arrest outside a hospital is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. with more than 350,000 people each year affected. Over 85% of them die. Administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) can increase the chances of survival dramatically. That is why CPR certification is critical for every family.
Studies show that brain death begins within only four minutes after the heart stops beating. CPR helps the heart continue to pump blood throughout the body until an ambulance or health professional can arrive. In fact, the chances of surviving sudden cardiac arrest actually doubles when someone provides CPR in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest.

Intended audience: Individuals who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents, and babysitters and more!
